• Where the job is. Street and suburb or town is enough - it tells us the ground, the exposure and the travel.
• Roughly how long the run is. Paces are fine. Nobody expects a survey.
• What it is for. Privacy, keeping a dog in, holding a bank up, marking a boundary, stopping the wind, or keeping stock where they belong.

If there is an old fence that needs taking away, or a bank that needs retaining before the fence can go up, mention that too so it is in the price rather than turning up as a surprise.

What happens after you contact us

We arrange a time that suits you, come out and walk the line with you, and talk through the options - timber, colour steel or alloy, height, gates, and what the site actually needs. Then you get a written quote covering materials, labour, removal of the old fence if there is one, and a timeframe.

We are based at 37 Castleton Street, RD 2, Allanton, Mosgiel 9092 - between Mosgiel and Outram on the Taieri. That is a base rather than a showroom, so ring before coming out; we are usually on site rather than in the yard.
